Unfolding Origami, winner of the 2013 Cinnamon Press Poetry
Collection Award, was launched at Blackwell's, Oxford, 
25 February 2015.

After Hopper & Lange was long-listed in the 18th Annual Slope 
Editions Book Prize Competition, 2019.

Nocturnes was a semifinalist in the Word Works Open Reading 
competition, 2020.

Samplers from the full-length  After Hopper & Lange and Nocturnes
collections were long-listed in the Cinnamon Press Literature Prize
competition, 2019. Nocturnes was again long-listed in the 2020 
competition.

North of Providence was long-listed in the Cinnamon Press 
Poetry Pamphlet Competition,2021.

Carnival of the Animals was shortlisted in the Cinnamon Press 
​Poetry Pamphlet Competition, 2020.

Nocturnes was long-listed in Cinnamon Press Poetry Pamphlet 
​Competition, 2019.

The Edge of Forgetting took Second Place in the 2014 Bright Hill 
Press Chapbook competition, and Finalist in the 2015
​competition.

"For a Stranger on the Embarcadero Bus" won First Prize
in the San Francisco Fair, 1986.

"Bee My Love" won First Prize for Light Verse
in the Poetry Olympiad, 1984.

Drama Awards

In addition to performances and readings, scripts earned recognition
in competitions, such as:

Two Roses was commended in the Burton Taylor Competition, 2009.

Confessions of an Addict was shortlisted in the Burton Taylor
Competition, 2006.

Third Person Singular won the Bronze Award in the San Mateo
County Fair, 1990.

Shall We Begin Again won Second Prize in the Olympiad of the Arts,
West Valley Colleges Foundation, 1988.

Fiction Prizes

"In the Market" won First Prize in the Foster City Writers' Contest,
humour, 1985.

"How to Cook a Turkey" and "Red Hawk Goes Fishing" won
First Prizes in the Daly City Short Story Contests of 1990 and 1991.

"St Dabeoc's Heath" won the Silver Award in the San Mateo County
Fair, 1990.

Photography Prizes

Quietude won Best of Show, Cameron Art Show, 1999.
